Guiding Families
Through Grief and Loss

Donate now

Unsere Sternenkinder Hessen supports families whose child died during pregnancy, at birth or within the first year of life. The association creates spaces for grief, remembrance and connection – for bereaved parents, relatives and professionals.

Our work includes peer support and grief groups, individual grief counselling, educational initiatives and the networking of organisations across Hesse. Our aim is to raise awareness of early child loss, strengthen families and provide reliable support.

Support in English

When time seems to stand still and the ground feels unsteady, it can be helpful to have a safe space / a safe haven. Our English-language services aim to offer an open and low-threshold access – especially for people who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in English than in German.

The offers are open to bereaved families and those who care about them. They are shaped by the understanding that every grief experience is individual – and valid.

Peer support groups

Talking about the death of a child with others who have had a similar experience can be relieving and connecting. The English-language peer support groups offer a safe space to share grief, family matters, reactions from others, questions about future pregnancies, and returning to daily life. The groups are facilitated in English and open to everyone, even if English is not the first language.
